Affiliation :
Universidade Católica do Salvador,Brazil
Biography :
Graduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA (2008), has a Masters degree (2011) and Doctorate (2015) in Human Pathology and Postdoctoral (2017), with emphasis on molecular biology and pharmacodynamics, Instituto Goncalo Moniz (IGM, Fiocruz-Ba). Currently, I develop activities at the Universidade Catolica do Salvador (UCSAL) as a teacher and researcher, as part of the Research Group on Health Care and Promotion. I develop activities at the IGM as a Collaborating Researcher at the Laboratory of Hematology, Genetics and Computational Biology (LHGB) and member of the research groups in Laboratory of Anemias Research (LPA / UFBA) and in Laboratory of Experimental Research (LAPEX / IGM) on the following topics: i. Molecular mechanisms of inflammation and influence of drugs used in sickle cell therapy; ii. Circulating microparticles; iii. Oxidative stress and antioxidant substances. And she has experience with studies focused on inflammation, pharmacology applied to in vitro studies, oxidative stress, cell derived microparticles, molecular biology, cell culture and antimicrobial activity of natural products. Main areas of interest: Cellular and molecular biology, General Pharmacology (with concentration in signaling pathways and mechanism of action of drugs), General biochemistry (structural and metabolic), Human pathology, Toxicology (clinical and forensic), Immunology and Basic Epidemiology.
