Biography :

I have the clinical and research expertise, leadership, as well as broad practical experiences necessary to contribute to the successful completion of the proposed research project. I have extensive experience in clinical research in the field of infectious diseases particularly in HIV research. My work includes evaluation of adherence to treatment and side effects of antiretrovirals. As PI or co-investigator on grants, I participated to a malaria immunogenetics study in children at the Gabriel Toure CHU and to the first study on HIV-2 in Mali. As member of the HIV Drug Resistance Unit, I have been involved in several studies such as the molecular epidemiology of HIV-1 resistance to antiretroviral drugs and the molecular description of circulating HIV-1 subtypes in Mali. This unit is part of the SEREFO laboratory funded through US-Malian cooperation.
