Biography :

Bagath is a Sr. Scientist at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) - National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP), Adugodi, Bangalore for the past twelve years. He finished his M.V.Sc and Ph.D. from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly UP, India, in the field of Animal Biotechnology. He cleared the ICAR National Eligibility Test in the year 2007 in the field of Animal Biotechnology and joined Agriculture Research Service in the year 2009 and got posting as a scientist at NIANP. Since then he is working in the field of climate change and livestock production with a primary concentration for the identification of different genotypic and phenotypic markers as well as to understand the immune pathways for different environmental stress. He has 22 awards, 51 international articles, and 17 international book chapters. Has one patent and 71 conference papers. Has 812 citation in google scholar and has a Research gate score of 28.68, with 54,205 publication reads. He was one of the members of the advisory committee for 7 students.

Research Interest :

Identification of different genotypic and phenotypic markers as well as to understand the immune pathways for different environmental stress. Molecular Biology / Molecular Physiology / Stress physiology / Nutritional Physiology / Immunity.
