Biography :
Shiwen He (M’14) received the M.S. degree from Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu, China, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
Since April 2018, he has been a Professor with the School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, China. From November 2015 to March 2018, he was with the School of Information Science and Engineering, Southeast University. From September 2013 to October 2015, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, Department of Radio Engineering, Southeast University. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 technical publications, held 5 invention patents granted by US and 80 invention patents granted by China, and submitted more than 20 technical proposals to IEEE standards. His research interests include multiuser MIMO communication, cooperative communications, energy efficient communications, millimeter wave communication, wireless local area network, mobile edge computing, and optimization theory.
Dr. He had been a technical Associate Editor for the IEEE 802.11aj from December 2015 to July 2018. He was the recipient of the Contribution Award for the development of IEEE 802.11aj Standard published on April 18, 2018, the Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award of China Education Society of Electronics 2017, the Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award of Southeast University China 2015, the Excellent Editor Award of China Wireless Personal Area Network 2015, and the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students 2012. He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking. He has been a TPC member of International Conference on Communication and International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP).
