Biography :

TurkeyProf.Dr. E. Mine SOYLU received his PhD from University of Akdeniz, Turkey in 1999. Since September 2000, She is working in the Department of Plant Protection, Mustafa Kemal University, Agriculture Faculty. She has more than 25years research experience and has guided MSc’s and PhDs in the field of Plant Pathology. She is the Principal Investigator of several externally funded projects in this area. She has published more than 90 research papers, book chapters and conference proceedings and contributed substantially towards natural antimicrobial agents such as plant essential oils and extracts, induced resistance against plant fungal pathogens, biological control of soilborne, postharvest fungal pathogens by using antagonist and PGPR bacteria, plant pathogen interactions and characterization of plant defense mechanisms. Her work has been extensively cited and has been included among the “Top 10 Cited Papers” in the particular journal category in the area of Agriculture Science. She has served as reviewer for more than 25 International Journals of repute published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis etc.

Research Interest :

Characterization and identification of plant fungal disease agents by using classical morphological and molecular methods, Induction of plant disease mechanisms, Plant-pathogen interactions and characterization of plant disease resistance mechanisms against plant pathogens, Biological control of plant fungal diseases by using antagonistic plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), endophytes or plant compost Induced resistance against fungal and bacterial diseases by using abiotic elicitors, Chemical characterisation of plant essential oils, Use of plant extract and essential oils against soil borne and seed-borne fungal and bacterial diseases.
