Biography :

Dr. Chandan Kumar Pati was born in 1977 in the village Sianroi, Balasore District of Odisha State, India. He did his B.Sc. in Botany (Honours) from Utkal University, Odisha, India. He obtained M. Sc. in Botany in 2000 and Ph.D. degree in Botany in 2007 from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India. Presently, he is serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Botany, Saldiha College (Affiliated to Bankura University), Bankura, West Bengal, India. He is working in the areas of Seed Science & Technology, Crop Physiology and Medicinal Plant Science. He has attended many seminars, conferences, symposia etc. and presented papers at National and International level. He also acted as Reviewer, Editorial Board Member, Associate Editor and Editor in many National and International Journals. He has published more than forty (40) original research papers in National and International Journals of repute. He is recipient of ‘The Best Citizens of India Award 2017’ and ‘BHARAT RATNA Dr. ABDUL KALAM GOLDMEDAL AWARD 2018’.His Biographical-note has been included in the 30th Pearl Anniversary Edition of ‘Who’s Who in the World’ (Published by Marquis Who’s Who Publications Board, USA) , ‘Asia Pacific Who’s is Who’ (Volume-XVI) and ‘Best Citizens of India’(Volume-15).He is also life member of ‘The Indian Science Congress Association’ and ‘National Environmental Science Academy’. He is teaching since 2001 and has research experience for more than twenty years.
