Biography :

Dr. Paramasivam Sivakumar is presently working as Assistant Professor, (Biotechnology) at Agricultural College and Research Institute, TNAU, Eachankottai, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. He has completed his graduation from Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. He has completed his M.Sc (Ag.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics and Ph.D in Biotechnology from Tamil Nada Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He did his Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (2008-2010) from Department of Genetic and Molecular Biology, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has more than ten years research experience and eight years teaching experience for teaching both undergraduate student and Postgraduate students in Agriculture. He has been published more than 20-research papers and review articles in reputed national and international journals like Plant cell report, Biologia plantarum, Journal of Natural Product research and Acta Biologica Hungarica. He edited seven books for the benefits of undergraduate and postgraduate students of agriculture and horticultural sciences. He has received several awards for their contribution in grain legumes research. He also published about 70 popular articles in Tamil and English in monthly science magazines.
