Affiliation :
Department of Management and Engineering, University of Padova, Italy,Italy
Biography :
Stefano Rosso got his Bachelor and Master degree in Aerospace engineering in 2013 and 2016 at University of Padova, Italy. He then spent 2 years as a research fellow at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (DICEA), University of Padova. He worked in the Laboratory of Design Tools and Methods of Industrial Engineering (LIN) where he had the possibility of discovering and studying Additive Manufacturing technologies; together with the research group, he developed geometric modeling methods to fully exploit Additive Manufacturing capabilities. These methods are able to model different type of cellular solids, such as regular lattice structures and Triply Period Minimal Surfaces, with both homogeneous and heterogeneous strut size and surface thickness. Since October 2018, he is a PhD candidate in the PhD course in “Mechatronics and Product Innovation Engineering”, curricula of “Mechanics of Materials”, at the Department of Management and Engineering (DTG), University of Padova. The title of the PhD project is “Design Tools and methods for Additive Manufacturing” and he is carrying out the studies started in the previous years at the LIN lab. In particular, he focuses on the development of modeling methods for lattice structures and functionally graded materials, and on file data exchange for Additive Manufacturing; all the proposed methods are then validated through extensive tests campaigns.
