Biography :
: I got my M.D in 1996 and Ph.D in 2015 in China. I have been working as an ophthalmologist in China for more than 10 years before I began to do research fulltime since 2009. I had been working in departments of ocular surface disease, retinal disease, ocular trauma, and glaucoma for 1 year, respectively, although I was a pediatric ophthalmologist. During I was a Ph. D candidate in China from 2009 to 2013, my projects were mainly related to the mechanisms of diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and myopia, involving in Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway. In addition, I also participated in some clinical investigations and basic researches on ocular surface diseases. In 2014, I came to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and worked as a research scholar with Dr. Jian-xing Ma, continuing to do the researches on the mechanisms of and treatments for diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, focusing on the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway, PPARα signalling, and human C-reactive protein. At the same time, I did some researches on corneal diseases. On May 2018, I moved to Dr. Yunzheng Le’s lab, as a postdoctoral fellow, working on the project related to mechanisms of retinal degeneration under diabetic/hypoxic condition. My career objective is to work collaboratively with other researchers to develop novel tools and strategies, which are useful to human health. I am interested in researches on ocular diseases. So far, I published a total of 13 papers including 7 first-author papers.
