Biography :

As a postdoctoral at SUNY-Stonybrook University, my research is focused on Diabetic kidney disease. Understanding the glomerulopathy caused by diabetes using various omics approach as well as mouse model has been the primary focus of my research. Using single cell sequencing, we are trying to understand the various kidney cells are affected during the diabetic kidney disease. I am also applying the proteomic approach using iTRAQ proteomics to look at the early stages of the development of diabetic kidney disease to better understand the initial trigger and the changes thereafter that causes the irreversible damage to the kidney. My plan is to take a multi-dimensional approach to understand the disease by understanding the transcriptional as well as translational changes.
