Biography :
Trained as a molecular biologist and biochemist, I obtained my Ph.D. from Voronezh State University, Russia in 2012. During my Ph.D. studies, I investigated the molecular regulation of redox homeostasis under pathological conditions such as steatohepatitis, myocarditis and diabetes mellitus. I decided to pursue postdoctoral research in Dr. Victor Chizhikovs developmental biology laboratory to expand my neurobiology expertise, techniques, and capabilities, eventually intending to address functional responses and pathological alternations in brain disorders and aging. I have extensive experience in advanced techniques in molecular biology, cell biology and electrophysiology. I have been actively involved in biomedical research and teaching for the past 10 years, published a total of 11 full-length research articles and presented research findings at 7 different conferences. I have received several scholarships in recognition of my outstanding academic and scientific accomplishments. My future research plan is to identify new genes involved to neuronal development and aging.
